Carlo Dameno is an industrial designer; he collaborates with the Research Center of the European Institute of Design (1966-2000) where he follows as project manager companies such as Lego Futura, Gillette, Fiat, Sunstar, Oral-B, Lavazza, Bosh. He collaborates with Giulio Iacchetti and Matto Ragni in the development of research and technical projects (1999-2006). Since '99 he has been a consultant at "Design Innovation" studio where he coordinates bionic research and concept design projects for companies including Fiat, Piaggio, Tensoforma, Ariete. He founded in 2008 with Monica Ferrigno "Ildoppiosegno," a design studio that maintains a dual identity: one aimed at design for industry and one at research and experimentation. Major clients include: United Pets, Status, Bayer, Emmegi, Piazza, Fratelli MAriani. He teaches at IED in Milan, Turin and MAdrid and at Iulm in Milan; he lectures on bionics at the Technological Institute of Aragon, Zaragoza. PArticipates in "BIOMA," international symposium on bionics and design, University of Aveiro.Collaborates for this product with Giulio Iacchetti, who has been involved in industrial design since 1992. He alternates his activity as a designer with teaching at numerous universities and design schools, in Italy and abroad. He has been honored with several international awards. With Matteo Ragni in 2001 he won the Compasso d'oro with the biodegradable multipurpose cutlery "Moscardino," now part of the permanent design exhibition at MOMA in New York. For Coop he conceived the "Design at Coop" project and is currently in charge of coordinating the Coop Eureka project and art direction for iB Rubinetterie.
