Lina Maria Castillo Duque, was born in Pereira, Colombia in 1986. She graduated as an industrial designer from the JORGE TADEO LOZANO University in Bogotá, Colombia. In 2009, she traveled to Italy to attend a Master in Product Design, at the ́ISTITUTO MARANGONI in Milan. There he participates in several workshops with important internationally recognized companies: CARL ZEISS VISION, DIAMANTINI & DOMENICONI, DUCATI, IIDA, TECHNOGYM and UNITED PETS, collaborating with renowned designers such as: Chiara Moreschi, Enrico Azzimonti, Emmanuel Gallina, Joe Velluto Studio and Lorenzo Palmieri. In September 2010, Lina participates in one of the world's most important lens fairs, SILMO MONDIAL DE L'OPTIQUE in Paris, exhibiting two works made for CARL ZEISS VISION. In 2011 she obtained a diploma in packaging design at ISDAL and took part in the Training for Trainers group, becoming a design lecturer at the JORGE TADEO LOZANO University in Bogota. Lina has worked for a long time with ALTEK, a recognized company dedicated to interior and exterior furniture design. In the meantime, she carries out several projects as a freelancer for UNITED PETS, for which in May 2012 she presented two graphics at the INTERZOO fair in Nuremberg and which would later be launched in the market in the summer of the same year. it is important to emphasize the fact that in her designs are present: the minimalist style, elegance and simplicity, harmonious details that complement the functionality of her works.
