Born in New Delhi in 1958, she spent her childhood in India, Thailand and Austria. In 1973 she moved to Milan, where in 1979 she obtained her degree from the Scuola Politecnica di Design. In Milan she collaborated at first with Ugo la Pietra and then with Ambrogio Rossari. From 1981 to 1992 she worked with Alessandro Mendini and actively took part in Alchimia. She taught at the National 10 giugno - 12 luglio 2009 / June 10th - July 12th 2009 Fiori di luce Maria Christina Hamel Institute of Design of Ahmedabad, India, Craft ENAD of Limoges, ISIA in Faenza, Università del Progetto in Reggio Emilia, she was an assistant to Alessandro Mendini at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna. She gave a series of lectures at NABA dealing with “Painted Furniture”. Her work as designer has always been complemented by the search for new expressions in the field of ceramics with meaningful experiences in several workshops in historical sites: Deruta, Albisola, Castellamonte, Sesto Fiorentino, Modra (Slovakia), Milan, Pietrasanta. She spoke at an international conference on ceramics at the International Ceramics Museum of Faenza, her works were published in the yearbook of the museum. She held her own personal exhibitions at Arte Fiera in Bologna, in the section devoted to the municipality of Sassuolo with ceramics and neon works and tapestries in glass mosaic manufactured by Bisazza. More personal exhibitions were held in Milan and Verona. She participated in a number of collective exhibitions world-wide, a selection of her works was included in the 1997 Design Year Book. Since 1994, in collaboration with Cesare Castelli, she has worked as consultant in the design sector: more specifically, from 2000 to 2003 they were charged with the search for new products for the Home Department of the Fiorucci Dep. Stores in Milan and Verona. She is currently collaborating with Superego Editions to develop limited edition ceramics collections, and she is developing monumental fibreglass themes on behalf of Koziol. The main companies she has collaborated with include: Alessi, Acme, Arzberg, Ariston, Anthologie Quartett, Bisazza, Bardelli, Edra, FGB, Richard Ginori, Koziol, Leonardo, Marioni, Carlo Moretti, Moto Guzzi, Play Line, Post Design - Memphis Milano, Ritzenhoff, Salviati, Segno, Sica, Tissot, United Pets. She was nominated for the Compasso d’Oro award.
